The California State Life Guards are led beneath the California Department of Parks and Recreation. The California State Park Life Guard training program will teach lifeguard applicants in:

• Advanced First Aid, CPR, AED
• Openwater Lifesaving Techniques
• Aquatic Search and Rescue Procedures

Upon conclusion of life guard training, you will be an avowed California State Lifeguard. Newly trained lifeguards will return to their individual district/sector to begin with their own particular Field Training Program and to start working as a California State Lifeguard.

4.) Successful conclusion of Field Training Program.

Each district/sector has special training course following conclusion of this California State Lifeguard Training app. Because each beach is different, this Field training regime functions to familiarize and further train lifeguards to the specifics of their individual district/sector.
